How to Play

1. Click the play area above — Mergefish loads right in your browser, no setup needed.
2. Controls: Drag two identical fish together to merge them into a higher-level fish. The game may also show a quick tutorial when you first start.
3. Look at the whole board before making your first move. Rushing usually costs you.
4. If you get stuck, try undoing your last few moves rather than restarting from scratch.
5. Hit the fullscreen button (bottom-right corner) if you want a bigger view.

Tips & Tricks

• Merge your lowest-level fish first to free up space on the board.
• Do not hoard rare fish hoping for a specific merge. The board fills up fast.
• New fish types appear as you reach higher levels. Keep merging and they will show up.
• If the board is nearly full, merge anything you can — even if it is not the ideal combo.
