Slide numbered tiles to combine them and reach the highest score. Fours keeps things simple: click the link, and you're playing within seconds.

It works on pretty much anything with a browser — laptop, phone, tablet, Chromebook. The game uses HTML5, so there's no Flash dependency or plugin drama.

How to Play

1. Click the play area above — Fours loads right in your browser, no setup needed.
2. Controls: Swipe or arrow keys to slide all tiles in one direction. Same numbers merge on contact. The game may also show a quick tutorial when you first start.
3. Look at the whole board before making your first move. Rushing usually costs you.
4. If you get stuck, try undoing your last few moves rather than restarting from scratch.
5. Hit the fullscreen button (bottom-right corner) if you want a bigger view.

Tips & Tricks

• Pick a corner for your biggest tile and never move it away from there.
• Try to only swipe in two or three directions. Swiping in all four directions scatters your numbers.
• Keep the board as empty as possible. Merge small tiles quickly even if it feels wasteful.
• When the board is almost full, every swipe counts. Think two moves ahead before committing.
